Peckham Springs
Venue says The Winter Garden is a brilliant canopy full of hanging plants and overhead heaters. The perfect place to spend your evening!

The majority of the regulars at this hip-as-you-like Peckham night spot will be too young to have seen the episode of ‘Only Fools and Horses’ from which Peckham Springs takes its name, but a missed reference certainly isn’t stifling the vibes. Perhaps it’s because, unlike in Del Boy’s tapwater scam, nothing’s being watered down here: drinks are good and strong, with a focus on classic blends and little in the way of showy flourishes. It’s all keenly priced, too – £6-£7 for the ten or so house drinks (including the ubiquitous Aperol spritz and a bracing old fashioned), £8 for the more complex specials of which the ultra-refreshing Liquid Summer (Aperol, gin, fresh orange, elderflower liqueur, fresh lime, sugar) is the clear standout.

Peckham Springs says
Part bar, part gallery and part events space, you'll find Peckham Springs nestled across four railway arches beneath Peckham Rye station. Suited to art-lovers keen to take in the latest exhibitions, the venue also features two bars, an extensive and fully heated winter garden and an intimate seating space where guests can take advantage of the carefully crafted selection of cocktails that start at just £6 and are half-price during Happy Hour between 6pm and 7pm.

Peckham Springs also has a great reputation for bringing London's best street food traders to this corner of the Capital. Perfect for those keen to experience something a little different from the norm, they've hosted Patty and Bun, Max's Caribbean Kitchen, Mother Clucker and many many more. It’s worth getting down to Peckham Springs early, the 6pm-7pm Happy Hour gets busy… and with good reason – they’re the best value cocktails in the capital!

Another great Peckham Rye bar, and actual Bar Story sister. Great location just behind the train station, and half indoors-half outdoors so that you can enjoy it no matter the weather. I am especially a fan of their £5 rum punch which reminds me of my Caribbean island, and the food stall changes once in a while (often burgers and high quality fried chicken). The music varies from electro/house to hip and RNB which is great, and there is space to dance in their indoor space! Great for a night out in the neighbourhood for a reasonable price!

Peckham is really the place to go for a hip night out once in a while even if you are not local. I had been at the neighbour bar after an evening spent in Frank's cafe. It gets chilly after a while up there so you kind of want to move on. Peckham Springs was slightly less busy that its neighbour which was a pleasure for me but it was just as nice and vibrant. Young people, nice music, quite chilled place, cocktails on a budget, some yummy burgers to keep you going, some cute lights, self service. Strange comment, I know, but we were under one of the arches which was apparently covered by some steel cladding which made the acoustics terrible! So better avoid the arches part of the place and you'll be fine.

Had a few really good nights at Peckham Springs. Lots of space, with an indoor conservatory-style bar with a dancefloor and DJ, as well as a large outside area with a second cabin-style bar, a large under cover seating area and a pop up BBQ hut. The cocktails are really good and not too expensive. The food is also really good, however this is expensive. The only down side is that it closes at midnight, possibly even earlier on weekdays!
