The puntastic cocktails at Peg + Patriot are as creative as their names suggest, each made with an eye-catching combination of novel ingredients like pistachio gin, banana butter, fennel pollen and pancake soda. Plus, many of the spirits used to make them are created in the bar itself.

Peg + Patriot, part of the swanky Town Hall Hotel, is a remarkably understated and chic place, with soft grey walls, sleek furniture and enough filament bulbs to light every hipster hangout for miles around. It's classy and cosy all at once, with some of the friendliest bar staff in London. Now where's that Creo’le’ Dirty Bastard I ordered?
