Recently attended our first Time Out event - a brewery tour and beer/oyster tasting at Sambrook's. Brewery has a great little taproom upstairs, which was nicely full without being overcrowded. Great, enthusiastic hosting by Ray from TO, nice tour by their head brewer, and a really good set of beers and freshly prepared/shucked oysters (supplied by the Oyster Men). Super friendly crowd, and a fun evening.

What a great night. I had the pleasure of hosting the Time Out Card event at Sambrook's Brewery last night. We were welcomed with a pint of Wandle , before joining a tour, escorted through by head-brewer Sean. He is such knowledgeable, friendly guy - and so proud of the product he brews.

Next we returned to The Tap Room to sample the Sambrook's range accompanied by Oysters prepared by The Oystermen. What a treat ! Three varieties were served , perfectly paired with the beers.

Sambrook's is so worth a visit. The Tap Room is an intimate , fun bar with views over the brewing tuns.

After the success of last night I can give nothing less than 5 stars.

We took the Sambrook's Brewery tour for my stag do last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were on a high having watched the Lions take the last test against the Ozzies so when tour leader Tom began the day with a "Who wants a beer?" it was met with an enthusiastic "YEAH!!". The tour lasts just shy of 2 hours and is interesting and informative and includes up to 4 pints of the beers brewed by the microbrewery. It was a relaxed atmosphere, very good value for money and a great way to spend a couple of hours on a stag especially as we had a few senior members of our clan in tow. I've never been much of an ale drinker before but since the day, I've had more than one pint and will forever appreciate why ale is fundamentally better than lager!
