Time Out says

Cocktails and party times from the popular chain

A two-floor cocktail bar in Fitzrovia from Simmons - a small chain with further venues in King's Cross, Camden and Tower Bridge. There's one heading to Shoreditch soon, too. Here, generous happy hours keep the cocktails flowing, while DJ sets take place in the basement. The upstairs offers outdoor seating with heaters and a canopy

Many of those creative concoctions are served in china tea cups - or tea pots, should you be ordering one of the sharing drops. Options include espresso martinis, margaritas, brambles, zombies, cosmopolitans and their take on a mai tai - it's called a 'my tie', and combines rum, orgeat syrup, lime and pineapple juice.

There's a function room too, should you fancy booking a bit of a knees-up.

Simmons Fitzrovia says
Simmons Fitzrovia boasts a lovely heated outdoor seating area, a late license, a massive function room (comprising of three themed disco caves), and much more! All this and we are located in a prime spot, just a one minute walk from Warren Street and Goodge Street Tube stations.

I went here out of the blue to meet someone for a drink. The vibe was nice and we had 2 for one cocktail. I think it is a standard drink place nothing too extravagant but It will do the trick.

They have got Nintendo !!!! Me and my friends had so much fun playing Supermario !! Good music, amazing staff, low prices (£2.50 for a single spirit&mixer), NINTENDO! This is absolutely my new favourite Cocktail Bar in London !

I have been there few times with my friends, and It has never disappointed me...the location is so cool, the drinks ridiculously cheap and the staff just lovely and super friendly !! One of my favourite (free entry) place for a late night drink and good music ! Will definitely go back again!!

Super cute little bar with an amazing cocktail hour! Hidden gem totally both visiting!

Just minutes away from the buzzing Goodge st, Simmons is a great quirky alternative to busy bars of Fitzrovia. Simmons Happy Hour is simply unbeatable - 2,50 for beers, £10 wines; 2-4-1 cocktails..and many more. We dropped by on Wednesday and there was some live music which meant a guy doing covers of famous rock/pop songs. That was OK, not too loud so we could still chat and enjoy the evening.

I like the interior - colourful, vibrant and unpretentious.

Sadly, the heaters outside don't really do they job properly and it was too chilly to sit there. Let's just wait for the Spring to come!

Very fun and sexy bar hiden in one of many london back street. Its one of them bars that is hidden but when yu find it well worth the wait!

It's like sitting in an eccentric aunt's living room, surrounded by quirky collectables and weird and wonderful table lamps. We love it and always find something we haven't seen before when ever we go.

Perfect place if you want to listen to old school or up to date tunes! Will defo come back!

Effect place for a quite catch-up with friends during the day or a birthday party. I love visiting Simmons I ALWAYS leave with fun memories! Drinks menu is lush and the staff are always polite and helpful!

Not sure how I'd missed this place before - nestled conspicuously on Fitzrovia in the shadow of the BT tower.

This must be the best happy hour in London with drinks on offer between 4-9pm, 6 days a week. A beer will set you back just £2.50 at this time as will a glass of house wine.

Bear in mind there's a £10 minimum requirement for card payments.

The decor is funky, old-school (literally- we sat at an old school desk!) and colourful.

The playable SNES in the corner is a really nice touch and there's a big cavernous function space downstairs that doubles as a semi-nightclub.

I'm definitely heading back very regularly but I am taking a star off for the toilet concierge - why does any venue need one really?

Amazing outside space in the summer time.. Great place to 2-4-1 cocktails..

Been doing a little round of the simmons bars and this one is fantastic. just can beat the happy hour

Massive fan of Simmons! the best happy hour you'll ever find in London, great atmosphere.  I highly recommend!

Recently found out there are more Simmons! Visited the Fitzrovia one tonight after a good night out in their Fulham venue. Again had a great night and would recommend to those in the area. I went down for a catch up with mates, they had live music and a well priced happy hour so we couldn't really complain! Nice staff too, had a good chat to the manager who seemed knowledgable and friendly. Il be back!

I've visited several times and have only experience friendly helpful staff. The drinks are very reasonably price, and an outright bargain during happy hour.

Really good spot, contrary to the reviews below the customer service is great! I go there every week pretty much and have never had a bad experience. Great prices, cool decor, lots of fun and a really good party atmosphere. It does get very busy but its always great fun anyway. I would highly recommend it.

Awesome place for after work drinks. We frequently book tables/caves there and have a great time. The place has a nice geeky/quirky feeling with areas to play old school video games,  'caves' for parties to separate themselves from other guests should they want something more private, the Happy Hour selection is great, the staff are quick and friendly, even during the busy periods (Thursday/Friday after work).  The music is great, and the outside drinking area is nice if you need some air or want to smoke. I would recommend this place highly.

Absolutely shocking, unprofessional behaviour from the staff here, tried to book the place for a private hire and management accidentally cc'd us in on an saying they 'can't be **rsed to deal with' our booking amongst other expletives. Really disappointing.

Great quirky little bar with a lethal happy hour. Tends to get very busy on Thursday and Fridays so book an area in advance if possible. The caves downstairs are ideal for hosting small parties, but beware of the damp smell. Staff are quick and friendly and the music played there is great: all 90's r'n'b and hip hop with a little bit of garage thrown in. If that's not your cup of tea, play on the mega drive to keep you occupied.

We received appalling customer service last Friday night after work at Simmons, Fitzrovia. The bar stuff were rude, abrupt and Xenophobic! One member of staff repeatedly shouted at my friend for having to 'clean her British s**t'. When we complained at the bar, the staff would not give us the name of who was causing the most trouble and called the Manager. The Manager simply said he was not sure what he could do and did we want a free drink?!?! We left immediately.

We will not be returning here again, and strongly advise that no one should drink here, unless the above sounds like a good night out after work.

From the below sounds like the same staff are still working there....

Fun quirky little bar, completely different from everything else in Fitzrovia, good value as well. Will be back (we also share a surname which makes it twice as nice)

Simmons Fitzrovia is a lovely little bar, with the worst service, the bar staff were rude and obnoxious (especially a lady who was in the downstairs bar). She was an absolutely disgraceful bar woman. She cleared away my drink when it was half full, telling me she took it away as I was busy talking to another person waiting to be served who was also standing at the bar.

She then slammed my drink back in front of me and then flipped out when I chose not to drink it as her finger had been in my drink as she picked the glass up...

She started to aggressively insult me whilst making me another drink and told me that 'this is europe darling' as her reasoning for removing my drink, verbally insulting me, displaying psychotic paranoid behaviour (telling me I was talking about her, I was giving her dirty looks and death stares, I was fake as I said it was ok and let's let it go and my body language was saying I wasn't ok with her) and racially insulting me by implying i am not European ( I'm an indian who was born and bred in London). I spoke to the manager Richard, who told me he wouldn't do anything as the woman had been sacked two days earlier...so why on Earth was she still there insulting patrons??? I then asked for him to call the police as I had been the victim of racial abuse and he again stressed she had been sacked and gave us a round of drinks on the house, unfortunately this was not enough and I am taking this a lot further...if you want good service don't go here. It's awful

Attended a friends birthday here last Friday. The prices are amazing and are not to bad once happy hour has finished. Happy Hour lasts for 3 hours!!! Staff where friendly however it was really busy and waiting time around 7 was longer than I would usually like. Defiantly go back.

1 star is too generous! I do not recommend Simmons Fitzrovia.

DREADFULLY DISAPPOINTING. APPALLINGLY RUDE bar staff.

Went there on a Saturday night and will AVOID it in future.

Encountered an unpleasant bar man who was clearly aiming to win THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE award of London. Considering that we were there early in the evening and it wasn't busy, he was unnecessarily DISRESPECTFUL to us. We left after sampling a little of our one drink; a pathetic poor imitation of a mojito. Bar men like him only add a bad experience to London's Nightlife.

Great addition to Fitzrovia's nightlife. We work round the corner and Simmons seems to be the only place that actually offers decent prices! Always busy and good fun.
