Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.

It’s a rare club that looks the part in daylight hours, but, perhaps because it was once a photographic studio, Sosho certainly does. Visit when the sun’s up and floods of natural light stream into the two-floored space, which has bare brick walls covered in modern – mostly street – art. Sosho’s part of the Match Bar empire which, since opening its first branch in 1997, has spread from Clerkenwell to the West End via Old Street and now has outposts in Ibiza and Melbourne. For all its Shoreditch cool, there are no lukewarm drinks served halfheartedly in cracked glasses here – the barfolk take their cocktails very seriously indeed. After a consultation worthy of any West End hairdresser (only with more laughs and flirty banter from the Spanish barman), we were presented with a Match Spring Punch (£7.25) – vodka with lemon juice, raspberries, cassis and framboise, topped with champagne – and a Long Mango, with cranberry, lime juice and passionfruit cutting through the sweet mango purée. There’s plenty here, too, for the local party people: club nights take in house and electronic sounds.
