Tottenham is having a moment, and a key reason is Styx – one of the edgiest music venues around. This former warehouse space buzzes with cutting-edge club nights, often leaning towards international electro sounds. It also doubles up as a theatre, putting on interactive and immersive shows from bold new companies.

In the back streets of Tottenham Hale sits this cool bar and eaterie. It's a bit like a Ibiza bar, with a cool water feature as it's central piece in the front outdoor area and pillowed areas around and a little mezzanine area above the bar serving area. For food you can have stone baked pizza's,made to order. An adventurous menu of Pizza's and also serving 'white pizza' which is tomatoeless pizza.

They also have an indoor area, where club nights and gigs happen.

It's super cool and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Quite randomly situated but very cool bar in Tottenham Hale. Great outdoor area with a nice water feature, there are cushioned wooden booths, all adding to the "shipwrecked beach" feel I think it had. Also, a huge dancefloor area in the converted storage unit area (sounds weird but makes sense when you see it!)

I went here for an event and the drinks/music were good, definitely give it a look on a regular night if I am up at that. I'd say it was more a local bar rather than a trek to place, unless there's something going on!

What a find ! When my friend said we should head to Tottenham Hale , I had to look it up on the tube map. In fact it was an easy journey - jumping on the Victoria line saw us there in no time from our start point on Piccadilly.

Once there it was so rewarding. On a steamy August Thursday the open air bar, seating and stage provided a perfect place to chill. We were soon tucking into delicious fresh made pizza and pints of ice cold Estrella ( at just £5 a pint )

So far so good , but then the whole evening stepped up a gear. Compere , host , producer , and sound-engineer Theo Bard welcomed Joe Strouzer to the stage .  Next thing this young man transports us to New Orleans with a virtuoso display of guitar, harmonica and vocals.

I was so impressed. Sadly I had to head away to join friends at another venue , so I did not catch the next two live acts. I did however feel I had discovered something very special here, and will be returning as soon as next Thursday to another Woodturner session.

My favourite feeling is when you discover somewhere in London and you can't wait to tell all your friends about it, the exact sentiment I felt after a night out at Styx.

My dance troupe performed there for the HER summer party and we hung around to party after and it was delightful. I really like the way the outside decking part stretches out and has a nice little faux river bit.

Most warehousey locations feel a bit grimey but it didn't feel that way here and the drinks were fun too!
