The Blue Anchor
Time Out says
Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.
There's a fair bit of history to this riverside pub and kitchen in Hammersmith - it was first licensed back in 1772. Today it's a family-run venue, with its expansive views of the river and Hammersmith Bridge making it a west London draw, especially when sunny days hit.
There's variety to the food menu. Dishes range from mussels, fillets of sea bass and wild mushroom tagliatelle to sausage and mash, steak and Guinness pies, burgers, salad niçoise and smoked salmon carpaccio with soft-boiled quail eggs, goat's cheese, capers and caviar. Sunday roasts are available each week, too.
Each of the bottles on the wine list is available by three different glass sizes. Two bottles of Champagne and a bottle of prosecco also feature.
In prime position on the banks of the river, we're always warm and welcoming. Our pub is a home away from home whether you’re after a riverside drink in the sunshine or a warming glass of Malbec by an open fire.
Our pub was first licensed in 1722 and is still a true locals pubs some 300 years later. Downstairs is traditional, wood panelled 17th century pub, while upstairs you’ll find the beautifully refurbished ‘River Room’, with incredible views of the river.
Delivering great food and drink in a fantastic surrounding, we're proud to be part of the Hippo Inns family.
