There are hundreds of fantastic bars around London that sadly doesn’t get the attention they deserve. The Churchill Bar is certainly one of those bars.

Just around the corner from Marble Arch station and only a few meters further away from Hyde Park, this hotel bar set in the elegant Hyatt Regency Hotel is a place to impress. Stylish wooden panels adorn the wall, dapper mixologists concoct the most delightful drink (Espresso Martini is was impossibly smooth and creamy) and the comfy armchairs and sofas that feels like a throne fit for any royalty. Smooth lounge Jazz music lulls in the background as you sip and chat away into the night with your contemporaries. There is an outside terrace if you must, but it’s inside where the Churchill Bar experience is really at.

Dimly-lit for an intimate atmosphere and small but spacious enough to accommodate your buddies and without having to shout over to hear each other, The Churchill Bar is a bar to fit every occasion even if it’s a tipple after work on the way home.

Sophisticated, stylish elegant, The Churchill Bar is a seriously impressive bar. Like I say, fit for every occasion, if this doesn’t impress your date/client/in-laws, then nothing will.

We dined at the Montagu here during the Frieze Art Fair and had a chance to experience the collaboration menu with the Saatchi Gallery called Beneath The Colour. This was a 3-course meal starting with a special cocktail in the Churchill Bar. The dishes were made with great attention to detail, using the finest ingredients and using the power of colours. Both the meat and vegetarian courses were delicious and the dessert platter of damson sorbet, raspberry mousse and blueberry almond slice was beautifully presented and looked like a piece of art. The Chromatic cocktail at the bar was eye catching with its neon colours and sugar hay on top. Catch this experience while it lasts!

It is 5:01pm and that can only mean one thing, it is the end of the day, and work is finally over! Now it is time to unwind with one of my favourite drink choices- A Strawberry Daiquiri:) On this occasion, I chose to go to the Churchill lounge and Terrace, as I am forever in love with the things of the past and this Lounge bar definitely emphasises this.
If I am drinking, and then I am definitely eating! After many choices, I chose the Oysters (Divine!). The service was efficient, and the waiters gave some good recommendations- One which was a watermelon-based shot! Which you may regret in the morning, especially if have an 8:30am start! But hey, what’s the point of life if you are not living ;) Unfortunately we did not dine in the Terrace, has it was extremely cold and despite the heating, we opted to sit inside. However, if you are a smoker, and immune to cold weather, then dining outside is perfect for you.

We visited this cozy, Siberian themed terrace on a Sunday afternoon. Beautiful atmosphere with luxurious decor and romantic twinkling lights. There are plenty of heat lamps so it was not at all uncomfortable to sit outside even in January, there are blankets everywhere and the staff offer furry hot water bottles to put on your lap for extra warmth. The service was excellent, our cocktails were tasty and we ordered the blue cheese fondue which was delicious. Cocktails were a little pricey but it is the Hyatt so it's expected, fondue and snacks were at surprisingly reasonable prices. A beautiful and very Instagram-worthy atmosphere. Definitely recommended!
