You've heard the story before: Pub that was once so local, it was a bit off-putting to go in, now has been turned into a cringeworthy stereotype of a craft-beer selling pub that looks like countless other. Except this one seems to think its also a club and certainly is doing a good job of alienating itself from the local area.

It is strange to see how this pub has changed and become more of a trendy, quirky place to go. It does have a nice atmosphere and friendly staff - the cheese toasties are pretty nice, especially after a few drinks! There is a screen and they do show sports so this may put some people off but even with this it doesn't get unbearably busy which is nice!

Quirky pub with friendly bar staff serving cheese toasted which are great. Unfortunately we chose a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc wine which wasn't so great.Would go back but would definitely avoid the wine next time.

A lovely pub with friendly staff and relaxed vibes, if it wasn't for that awful huge sports tv screen. If sport isn't your thing, the screen is what will help you understand if it's a good time or a bad time to go in. Avoid the tv screen and you might appreciate the cool shade of blue on the walls, the great ceiling and the odd portrait paintings that add character to the surroundings (the old lady in a fur collar, opposite the bar is definitely my favourite).
