Bars and pubs West Hampstead
4 out of 5 stars
(10user reviews)

This West Hampstead pub and dining room has just had a bit of an overhaul. It might look slightly different but the emphasis on fine food and drink remain, with craft beer and gastropub fare keeping it busy. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own records to play, too.

I love West Hampstead and this little bar is one of the best in the area. Known for their whisky selection – watch out, you can easily spend £30 on a glass – the sultry atmosphere is perfect for a catch up with friends and there a rather impressive board game selection too.

The upper level is quite small but the cosy corners make the venue feel really cosy and if you do like a little more leg room the downstairs opens out with comfy sofas and larger tables. I stuck to G&Ts all night and their selection is fab – they even sell Gin Mere!

This place is well worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

I visited here with friends for some Christmas drinks and was pleasantly surprised by what a lovely little bar this is tucked away on a side street in West Hampstead. There's a great atmosphere with the mezzanine level adding to the buzz. There's a whole host of drinks on offer from craft beers to cocktails, wine and spirits. Food is too notch (if a little naughty as it's pretty much all fried), highly recommend the bourbon squid, de-lish! I'll definitely be visiting again.

This isnt a normal bar - all the drinks seem to be hand selected. Best Pale Ale, Wine and Gin bar for me. Love coming here with friends.

My favourite bar in London, it's such a lovely place to hang out anytime of day. The staff are fun, there's a great selection of beers and they let me take my cat.

This is a neighbourhood gem- sadly not the neighbourhood I live in else I would be a regular here! Firstly, I love that booking are taken here. So nice to rock up and know there's a table saved! The cocktails are great- on a recent hen party we demolished the menu, and the sharing plates of food are tasty too. Perfect for a low-key Friday night with friends, with a good vibe and friendly staff. If you live round NW London I'm jealous that this is on your doorstep!

Great bar for a low key drink after work

Tucked away. Easily the coolest bar in West Hampstead. Good music, great drinks offering, and a very chilled Sunday roast

The Gallery's always a good choice for a chilled out evening. I think it lost something in the refurb (mainly in the ‘it’s cheaper than The Alice House up the road’ stakes) but it’s made up for it with a really impressive range of whisky, a simple cocktails menu and a great range of beers (with a nice lot of locals on the list). The crowd’s a mixed bunch and generally lovely, and the large open windows at the front let you spill out onto the street in the summer. The only downside is that in the past the music’s been SO loud it’s turned into a bit of a yelling match, but it’s worth it for a local that’s this welcoming.
