A west London boozer spread across the first two floors of a lemon yellow, three-storey Georgian townhouse. When you first walk in, the decor is homely and inviting, with artwork and books on the walls, while upstairs is a Victorian-style cocktail lounge with plush, plump seating and dangling chandeliers.
The menu consists of British cuisine cooked mostly over a coal pit, including bavette steak, grilled sea bass, burgers, scotch eggs, cheesecake and lemon posset. The wine list features bottles from South Africa to South America, with plenty of European offerings in between. Plus a wide selection of whiskies, cocktails and the usual beverages available from the bar.
