This is my favourite pub in East London. The staff, decor, food, garden, conservatory, kitchen... everything is amazing. Its a beautiful weekend afternoon pub to enjoy in the sun or as a winter warmer in front of the fire. Definitely worth a visit.

Quality local pub, admittedly surrounded by several others, but it more than holds it own. The front is very compact and old-fashioned, complete with fireplace but the bar extends much further back to a newer, spacious seating area and beer garden. Does a great Sunday lunch and solid beer selection

Lovely pub, good quiz, and an outside space. The food is also delicious and they have a good selection of different dishes. In summary, a perfect local!

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food including Sunday roast

This pub has everything. Cosy bar area with real fires, open kitchen, great garden, great beer and wine, great food, friendly, helpful staff. What more do you want?

Cosy, fireplace, lovely garden, great Sunday roast... What more is there to say?

These guys made our weekend, totally went above and beyond. Can't praise them enough. Also the beer is great...

Great local. Possibly the best Sunday roasts in East London. And given the size of the portions, easily the best value!

I strolled down to this unassuming pub on a Monday evening (for a low key anniversary dinner), finding that it was directly opposite Queen Mary University. It didn't look like much from the outside but we'd heard good things on the grapevine and were keen to give it a go. It was as quiet as you'd expect for a Monday night outside of term time so we had our pick of tables and chose a quiet spot in a corner, soaking in the 'old-man pub' vibe it was gushing out in a very cosy way.

I really wasn't expecting much by the way of food, the stuffy interior and lack of people didn't suggest that this was a gastronomic hotspot so my date and I decided to share a chicken and a beef burger.

Oh my lord.

I'm a burger lover (I'd ever go as far as to say that they are my favourite food), friends have called me 'burger queen' as I'm notoriously and unnecessarily snobby about what constitutes a good burger.

I can honestly say that The Lord Tredegar beef burger was one of, if not the best burger I've ever consumed! It came on a beautifully toasted brioche bap, with strong melted cheese, salad and proper fish n' chip, chips.

There was even a very spacious covered outdoor area with an open kitchen to lounge in with big groups.

I can't recommend it highly enough and can't wait to go back for another!
