This corner pub was a pleasant surprise. I happened to be venturing in Wimbledon on the weekend and opted for dinner here on a Saturday night. The service was great - the staff were friendly and polite. The food was reasonably priced and tasty, with a good variety on the menu (ranging from fancy bangers and mash to gnocchi with wild mushrooms), and most importantly the vibe and music being played was awesome. If I lived in the area, I would definitely drink and eat here more often. There's a nice casual, cosy yet charming quality to this pub - so if you're in Wimbledon and in need of a gathering spot, this is a good shout!

If I lived near here I would most definitly be a regular. A lovely boozer. Friendly staff and a great musician playing the night I went, which is always appreciated. The back end of the bar is cosy and good for groups and the front looked absolutely magical with gorgeous fairy lights on the windows, but sadly I wasn't there for dinner that night. Certainly I'll go back if I'm ever that far South West again......

We end up in the Old Frizzle quite frequently when we're in and around Wimbledon. It's a great little pub with plenty of character and not that expensive for the area.

Despite most of the seating being through the back, it always manages to feel very bright and airy, even when it is pretty busy. The Sunday quiz is definitely worth a trip, you have your regulars of course but everyone is made to feel very welcome and the regular quizmaster is quite a character.

The bar staff are definitely worthy of praise too as they really know what they are doing, which is a refreshing change from some of the clueless uni kids you see in a lot of places.

If you're in Wimbledon, especially after the tennis this summer, make sure you drop in, it's a great spot.
