The Punchbowl

Once part-owned by Guy Ritchie, this Mayfair pub and dining room is now in new hands.

The ground floor pub serves a number of real ales and single-malt Scotch whiskies. Bar snacks are also available, alongside a food menu featuring rare breed steaks, a White Park steak tartare, fish and chips and baked Cornish lobster.

The first floor dining room offers a menu featuring dishes such as Hampshire quail breast and leg served with Morteau sausage, cauliflower and sauce Sauternes, and pine-smoked Yorkshire venison loin served with artichoke, candied cocoa nibs and a juniper berry jus. A set menu is available, too.

The global wine list has been put together by Master of Wine, Tim Atkin. There are 20 whites, 29 reds and 16 sparkling options, alongside four sweet and fortified wines. More than 20 from the list are available by the glass.

The Punchbowl also plays host to various events, including wine tasting sessions with Tim Atkins, butchery master classes and seasonal activities. Private dining is available, too.

As one of Mayfair’s oldest pubs, we know a thing or two about good food and wine. Tucked away on a quiet side street, our dog-friendly Grade ll listed townhouse offers different dining experiences across our ground floor pub, restaurant and private dining room.

Savour homemade Scotch eggs, burgers layered with British cheeses, rare breed steaks and freshly caught battered fish with triple-cooked chips and a treat or two for your four-legged friend. Make sure to try our very own Punchbowl 1750 ale, brewed especially for you.

Our menus celebrate British produce and heritage giving a luxurious twist to pub favourites and classic British dishes using only the finest native ingredients.

The Punchbowl gets it right every time! Great drinks, great food, great service, what more could you want!

We came upon this place as part of a Hidden City game. It looks fab, really old English, lots of wood panelling and great atmosphere.

However, as we hadn't known we'd be going so we hadn't been able to book. A member of staff was downright snotty about whether we could sit down. As we needed a drink we had one, but we were too early & frankly made to feel unwelcome to eat there. That said it was clearly popular and booked out so curiousity might draw me back there for food one day!

The punchbowl feels like a local pub even though it's in the heart of Mayfair. It has a lovely low key vibe and it's the perfect place during the winter season for a glass of red and a bite to eat post work or after shopping.

I always loved the Punchbowl but since it's changed its look its just gotten even better! The food is best of British, the pub atmosphere fab and I love the new secret private room upstairs. Top Mayfair boozer.

Great traditional pub with gorgeous food. Their menu is seasonal and also includes few pub classics. Try their Sunday roasts or pop by after work for a glass of wine with colleagues. Tips - they have a stunning Club (private dining room) upstairs!
