The Rooftop at Ace Hotel

Time Out says

If you're trying to impress a date, or you just fancy being impressed generally, head up to the top of Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. Their roof makes for a mighty fine place to sip on a cocktail or sit down for brunch. The bar is long, so getting served is quicker than in most places in the city, and the balcony runs the same length, offering panoramic views from the East End. There are seats indoors and out, and there are covered outdoor benches as well to keep everyone happy.

summer series of rooftop parties take place here and there are regular fashion-focused parties, as well as tastings, DJs and live music.

Great views, cocktails and atmosphere- the Rooftop at the Ace Hotel is definitely worth a visit. Located on the sixth floor of the trendy Ace Hotel (on a Sunday morning you should definitely check out their restaurant- Hoi Polloi- for brunch accompanied by a string quartet), the bar is great for a date or a catch-up with friends. I spent New Year's eve here and could not have wished for a better location to look at the fireworks as the clocks struck midnight.

Went on a Friday evening on the off chance that we could get in- we were asked if we had rsvp’d (on their website) and we were a bit worried because we hadn't. Luckily, the staff were very friendly and helpful and directed us to their websites where we could do it right there and then and all we had to do was share the confirmation email with them!

The view were wonderful from the long balcony and as it was fireworks weekend, it was lush just to sit and watch with a cocktail in hand (which were delicious). Staff were very friendly and waited at our table once we had bought our first drink at the bar!

It’s a perfect bar for dates and groups of friend- saw both there- and now that I’ve found it, I will be returning!
