I begrudgingly trudged down from my safety net of North London to attend a friend's birthday at The Tiger last week, but am glad I made the trek! What a find - this boozer oozes character and charm. The staff is lovely and friendly and the food is good to boot (classic burgers, but done well). Being open until late, the atmosphere continues on until the early hours, with punters creating a makeshift dance floor - great find, I shall be retuning!

Good selection of beer and food, good music, open late, range of events and djs, friendly staff

There are always good times to be had in the Tiger. Great range of booze, and I could eat their fried halloumi with jalapeno honey sauce forever.

Shabby-cosy pub thats great for larger groups or later nights.

The best thing about this pub its the variation in seating, I go ob too much about seating but its important to get it right! Theres a sofa-y section, a living-room style section and an outside with benches amongst standard pub tables- thats great right? Any mood they got you covered!

The food is pretty standard but not bad.

The DJ nights at the weekend are fun, its normally pretty full but opens much later than the other pubs in the area. Camberwell is great for pubs in general, and this isnt a bad spot to end up if you're on a bit of a crawl!

Late night boozy sessions with live DJs, arty crowd and dull-lit interior, a Camberwell institution for the post 2am drinkers.

A welcome revival and addition to Camberwell! Sited on the location of a formerly-slightly-unsavoury pub, the building has been sensitively restored and pleasingly it is a proper pub. You can go for a drink, unencumbered by worry that tables have been reserved or that you can't hear your drinking companions over the din of music.

Given that this is a pub run by forward-thinking chain Antic, there's a question you have to ask about the place. Why oh why (oh why oh why) do they not have a single craft beer on tap and a range of bottled IPAs that consists of one solitary bottle of Monteith's? That aside, it's a charming, vintage venue with a fun soundtrack (DJs until 3.30am on Friday and Saturday!) and a nice menu consisting of the likes of deep-fried balls of mac and cheese, plus a small-ish selection of board games (sadly missing a few crucial pieces). Basically, it's a charming place for a drink. But unless they get round to updating their beer selection sharp-ish, it might soon start to struggle to attract people who actually want any of their drinks.
