Time Out says

It's mostly about the cocktails at this swish new Battersea Rise spot, and they're all served in a lovely looking room with a smidgen of Victorian England about it. Glass jars home to intriguing flora, glass-boxed taxidermy, vintage microscopes and detailed sketches of plants and herbs are just some of the decorative curios hinting at nineteenth-century science and discovery.

The cocktails take inspiration from Lewis Carroll's The Walrus and The Carpenter, each taking its name from a line in the poem. A mix of Bols Genever, rhubarb and rosehip cordial, Campari, Carpano Antica and rhubarb bitters is a Bitter Tear, while Kamm & Sons, greengage liqueur, stinging nettle cordial, lemon and celery bitters is Of Cabbages and Kings. A short wine list is complemented by Curious Porter and Meantime London lager.

Charcuterie and cheese boards provide the nourishment, alongside Colchester rock oysters and lobster brioche rolls with rocket, balsamic glaze and parmesan cheese.
