Trade Union

Bars and pubs, Cocktail bars Wapping
5 out of 5 stars
(5user reviews)

This huge warehouse-like space provides a one-stop shop for, well, not everything, but they give it a good try. Throughout the 6,700sq ft you can cradle a cocktail, enjoy an espresso at speciality coffee shop Vagabond, get your hair cut at Drakes barber and buy a bouquet from Orca, the florists that specialise in silk flowers.

And if all that wasn't enough to entertain you, Trade Union also hold workshops in gin, pizza and coffee. The food menu features pizza from Bushwick Pizza Co, as well as steak, fish tacos, salad and sharers.

Happy hour is from 4pm to 7pm daily (the cocktail menu is alluringly vast), with a club night on Thursdays playing ’80s and ’90s tunes, and various sports screenings.

One of the best new concepts in town.Totally spot on in this vibrant part of London. Enjoyed my stay from the minute I walked in. Definitely going back.

A fascinating new concept that should be on every high street, love this place, a man’s paradise, haircut, beer and pizza in one amazingly cool place, highly recommend

The one stop place for everything you need. Friday night drinks? Trade Union. Monday coffee? Trade Union. Forget to get flowers for your anniversary? Trade Union. This place is an absolute gem and I'm so glad to have it on my doorstep!

Trade Union had already won me over with their adult sized slide but then I tried the food and realised it wasn't all about the slide... The menu has a great mix of sophisticated starters and mains, a stacked burger and a selection of gourmet pizzas. What really appealed to me about the pizzas, is that they are perfectly sized for 1 person and only cost £6-£7! Despite this, I went for a starter of veal and steak meatballs with a side of chips as I wasn't that hungry. I can't fault it, the meatball sauce was especially delicious and I used it to dip my chips in. It's not even all about the food, as they have an extensive wine and cocktail list. Happy hour is two cocktails for a tenner, with them costing £8 each it's a bargain. Perfect for after work drinks but try to get a spot inside; It gets really windy outside even on a nice day, my friend had a jug of water nearly fall on him!
