This is one of my go to places when touring pubs around London. With a central location and an amazing whiskey collection, the place is worth a visit on the decor alone! Don't be fooled by the shy entrance - move further to get an amazing view of the branchy tree that magestically welcomes you to the main rooms, rooms here being the key word. Full of nooks and little seats here and there, and tucked away corners, I feel that you could go there for a lifetime and still find another angle of the unique furniture and wall fittings. Alright selection of beers and service tends to be on the slow side as it is usually crowded, but a must see pub in central London.

Waxy is my favourite Irish pub. The beer flows, the Irish pub food is tasty, the music is great and the place looks GORGEOUS. It's very easy to get lost there due to the thousand – okay, slight exaggeration but you get me – micro-rooms and boothes and staircases. It looks as if you had jumped right into a fairytale. One little warning: better avoid on Paddy's day and any Gaelic football match day unless you particulary enjoy crowds.

This is a huge Irish bar, very centrally located, less than 2 minute walk from Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Shaftsbury Avenue. It shows most Irish international rugby matches, the All Ireland finals and often Irish football matches. The décor is funky and the music is good. If you are meeting people here though, you need to be specific as to where, because the place is cavernous with many different areas. It is usually heaving with people too although the place is so big that the chances are that you will be able to find a seat somewhere. It serves a decent pint of Guinness, and has a live band usually on Wednesdays.

A very handy place to know about if you are meeting up in Central London.

Very original and surprising pub at 2mn from Piccadilly circus!!!

Fireplace, big scrren for game and even a tree in the middle. The first time you will go there you may get lost..

Definitely a place to try

I was not expecting much from this bar located in the heart of Chinatown, but I was wrong! Great atmosphere, cheesy tunes, beautiful decor and handsome men :-) The interior is a bit like a rabbit warren with lots of adjoining rooms. Service at the bar took a little while as it was so busy but other than that no real complaints. Would definitely return!

Really cosy

Friendly bar staff

The best feature is a huge tree in the middle of the pub/bar.

Also the interior is dark and there is wood everywhere it's absolutely beautiful.

I would definitely recommend this place.

Waxy is just my favourite pub in London. The decoration and atmosphere are beautiful. Staff if always very friendly. Food is great too!! Try going on Sundays when there's a live band playing... wonderful! I visit Waxy every time I'm in Central London... you must do too!

Great Irish pub, good to watch rugby in, huge place. The tree in the middle is pretty neat, as are the themed bars including a church with an organ bar and confessional.
