Finsbury Pink is not short of great pubs. But unlike some of its neighbours (we’re looking at you, Faltering Fullback), you might actually get a seat at the WB Yeats - even on Arsenal days. If not, no bother: it’s a corner pub, perfectly primed for post-work vertical drinking as the sun goes down. The interiors are spectacularly cosy; the floors are wooden, the walls are a deep green and you’re surrounded by random artwork and odes to WB Yeats himself, whose face is printed on windows and in frames on the walls. A mass of red bar stools are for the taking - to be gathered around little tables or raucously amassed around the bar, which has classics, crafties and of course a great Guinness on draft. The Sunday roast is well loved, and they have not one but two Irish trad sessions a week, on Wednesday and Sunday evenings from 7pm. If you must know, the shop next door does sell vapes.
