Tastemaker

It's big, can get really busy, a bit grim (with matching carpet) and I'm pretty certain at least about 50% of the clientele are drunk regardless of the time of day. However, being a spoons, it's cheap on all fronts. You'd struggle to get your money to go so far anywhere else. Whilst I haven't eaten here, and find the quality of the food questionable, I can't deny enjoying a beer here every now and then. When it's half the cost of most other pubs in the area and located right in the centre of Hammersmith, well, it'd be rude not to.

A good standard Wetherspoon pub.  Comfortable, spacious and loads of helpful staff.  I went with friends on a Friday lunchtime (fish Friday!) and my friends had the (large) fish and chips which they said was "very good" and I had the vegetarian burrito - also good.  Our meal price (£7.15) included an alcoholic drink and coffees at £1.30 afterwards brought our whole meal to £8.45, which has to be very good value.  Granted it's not haute cuisine, but a good and inexpensive place  for a relaxing catch-up with friends.

Although it is never going to be the most salubrious of places, this is a pretty good Wetherspoons (and where else in Hammersmith can you get pints for as little as £2 to £3?). They also do lots of different meal and drink offers every night of the week. The pub's best feature is the small beer 'garden' out the back overlooking the Lyric Square. Also very close to both the Tube stations in Hammersmith.
