A courtyard bar and café on Rupert Street, popular with Soho's gay crowd. The downstairs al fresco area boasts sedate lighting, wooden banquettes a fair bit of flora, giving things an almost bucolic feel. The upstairs loft bar offers views down to all this, with leather sofas offering spots in which to recline.
The Yard does sometimes play host to a variety of visitors, but mostly it's a mature gay crowd. Drinks are pretty standard, with beers and wines doing perhaps the most brisk business. Tables and areas can be reserved for groups and larger parties.

A nice bar in the heart of Soho. Not the place to go if your looking for a crazy night out, perhaps for some pre drinks but instead a bar for a drink with friends or in the afternoon, a bite to eat. The food is of a good standard and fairly reasonably priced. The staff and always very friendly and welcoming. It can get busy Friday and Saturday nights. It is trying to become a listed building so developers can't build over it, so they are carrying the hashtag, #SaveTheYard. Check it out, overall a nice place in the summer and has seating upstairs for the winter. I have always enjoyed the yards ability to make the outside feel like inside and vice versa.
Love this place, esp the actual yard and the upstairs area! It does get quite busy during summer. Drinks are std soho prices.
I think the only issue is the fact that it gets super busy, and then it is hard to move around.
This place is great! It is a gay bar but many straight people were there when I went, and we had a great time. Nice decor, friendly service and nice people. There is a lot of open space for people like me who like to have a smoke and don't like to be trapped indoors. Though it gets vert crowded, I would definitely would recommend it.
