Bars and pubs Soho
4 out of 5 stars
(7user reviews)

A courtyard bar and café on Rupert Street, popular with Soho's gay crowd. The downstairs al fresco area boasts sedate lighting, wooden banquettes a fair bit of flora, giving things an almost bucolic feel. The upstairs loft bar offers views down to all this, with leather sofas offering spots in which to recline.

The Yard does sometimes play host to a variety of visitors, but mostly it's a mature gay crowd. Drinks are pretty standard, with beers and wines doing perhaps the most brisk business. Tables and areas can be reserved for groups and larger parties.

Saved form the greedy developers for now, this historic stable turned bar in the heart of Soho continues to attract a variety of people. Predominantly a gay bar, it serves great variety of cocktails, spirits and beer. It’s has great outdoor space, however this is ruined by the smokers. The upstairs bar is slightly trendier and has great ambience. It regularly features live music. Service is a bit hit and miss. A great place to take in a drink or sit back and people watch.

A nice bar in the heart of Soho. Not the place to go if your looking for a crazy night out, perhaps for some pre drinks but instead a bar for a drink with friends or in the afternoon, a bite to eat. The food is of a good standard and fairly reasonably priced. The staff and always very friendly and welcoming. It can get busy Friday and Saturday nights. It is trying to become a listed building so developers can't build over it, so they are carrying the hashtag, #SaveTheYard. Check it out, overall a nice place in the summer and has seating upstairs for the winter. I have always enjoyed the yards ability to make the outside feel like inside and vice versa.

Love this place, esp the actual yard and the upstairs area! It does get quite busy during summer. Drinks are std soho prices.

I think the only issue is the fact that it gets super busy, and then it is hard to move around.

Lovely place to meet friends and catch up the yard outside is beautifully decked out and has nice outdoor seating (but its covered enough you feel like you are cheekily smoking inside, if you like a cheeky smoke that is). Drinks were really reasonably priced and there was a friendly crowd of younguns, everyone seemed pretty geared up to go on out partying!

Great bar to catch up with mates, not too crowded and you can actually hear each other. It's technically a gay bar, but there's a mix of people there really. There's a great atmosphere and it's well located.

Located close to Piccadilly Circus this was a decent place to catch up with some friends. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy, but wasn't too overcrowded and was easy to chat and speak with people without having to shout or strain (we did reserve an area ahead of our visit, and this was only around 9/10). The drinks are averagely priced, but the bartenders are generous with their shot sizes and quick to complete orders.

Security were pretty friendly too, even helping us find another chair to seat an additional member of our group. Overall, a good experience but not anything special.

This place is great! It is a gay bar but many straight people were there when I went, and we had a great time. Nice decor, friendly service and nice people. There is a lot of open space for people like me who like to have a smoke and don't like to be trapped indoors. Though it gets vert crowded, I would definitely would recommend it.
