A firm favourite with locals, Bar Story is situated underneath Peckham Rye station and mixes industrial design with a decent selection of cocktails, pizzas and DJ sets. A hugely popular happy hour runs 6-7pm on weekdays. Expect more beardy men than a Rasputin lookalike competition.

One of my favorites bars in SE London. Cocktails are world class and very reasonable priced. Good music, friendly crowd - best season for visiting Bar Story is summer but it is worth going any time of the year. It gets very busy on Friday and Saturday which it usually not a problem in terms of space, but could be annoying as it takes ages to order a drink.

Great in the summer, winter, autumn and spring! Beautiful cocktails and pizzas, always a good laugh - if you can get to the bar!

The first minimalist bar in Peckham and still a favourite after all these years! Great thin crust pizzas and the happy hour is always worth heading for!

With the now famous Peckham arches bars baring a certain resemblance to one another it’s often hard to know which one to choose. What I can say about Bar Story is it’s usually pretty busy any night of the week, has a decent selection of pizzas, and some valuable indoor and outdoor seating. However the bar can get fairly busy later on and during happy hour so order in bulk.

Great bar, with great reasonably priced cocktails that pack punch made well by attentive bar staff that know their game. Excellent party vibe come Saturday night that spills outside on to a nice lit terrace area.

Great bar and great happy hour.  However be warned, when it is 10 minutes to go until the end of happy hour people will seem to appear out of nowhere and you can end up queuing for 45 minutes to get a drink!  Not sure why they don't put on extra staff around this time but hey ho, no where is perfect!  Perfect summer saturday afternoon vibes :)

Yeah this is a goodie under the archways of the peckham railway. Popular and busy on most nights and it serves a mean cocktail. Aperol Spritzers are deadly so don't expect to know how you got home.

Great for somewhere you want to sit and chill with friends, especially if it's sunny! Heaps of seating outside and buzzing atmosphere

A nice bar moments away from Peckham Rye station, in fact it is directly under one of its platforms. The cosy outside area is a great place to relax with a drink in the Sun. Definitely best to visit between 6-7pm on weekdays, to make the most of happy hour!

It is relatively small and drinks are a bit pricey if you visit outside of happy hour. Not the sort of place you'd spend a whole night but none the less a great bar to have a couple of drinks. It shuts relatively early (10pm on weekdays/11pm Friday/Saturday) but across the road is Peckham Springs which is also a great vibe and is open a bit later, they even let you take your drinks across!

had a lot of fun in this bar, especially with such a great selection of cocktails.  Also there is prosecco on tap which is always a winner.  You can always get a seat, but the atmosphere is still fun and lively - definitely recommend.

Its a fine bar if you really need a place to sit down.

The sound can be a bit jarring as its in an archway (likewise with the sistered bar out the back) and you can sometimes be thrown out early 'just because'. the bar closes at 10pm most nights which can be a bit of a mood killer.

Go here if you're drinking early and want to take advantage of the 2-for-1 cocktail deal between 6-7pm otherwise its become a bit of an overspill bar in recent years as better bars have cropped up locally.
