A glorious decor and one of the nicer Wetherspoons in London, you can't complain about the prices here compared to some of the neighbouring waterholes (espeically in the nearby Leadenhall Market). With pints starting from about £3 and a beer and burger for just over £7 (the veggie burger isn't too bad), this is always a really busy bar.  Other than the interior, it isn't anything special, but it is good value.

Well - this certainly is central - a few minutes walk from both Monument and Bank Stations - and it's enormous!  At 1.00 pm on a weekday it was absolutely packed and difficult to find a seat.  The usual Wetherspoons fayre and competitive prices on offer.  I noticed a lot of people left  meals uneaten on their plates -whether because of  inedible food or lack of time, I'm unsure as service was slow - not enough staff to cater for the masses.  Not a place for a good chat over lunch or delicious food but you can't beat the value for money beer!
