Grand union farringdon is much like the one in Brixton. Spacious and lively with great music and a good bar. Although the night was very busy there was plenty of room for general walk ins. Tables had been booked in advance but there was still plenty of seats and room for everyone despite being particularly busy. The bar was good with the usual offering of drinks, decently‚Äč priced and plenty of staff to serve customers, so no complaints there. Overall a good night and I would probably return at some point in the future. One thing I would say, is it could probably do with some renovations, as the place is starting to look little bit worse for wear! Other than that, a good venue.

Went there for happy hour and didn't enjoy as much as I hoped. It is a decent cocktail bar serving a good selection of cocktails. The venue has a funky vibe, unfortunately it had a slightly mouldy smell and everything feels sticky...

I hired out a booth at The Grand Union for my birthday last year. I was only 23 so wasn't really bothered about doing anything too grand (pun intended), because who cares about 23 years? 23 year olds Mum's and possibly their Dad's ... but my point is that the Grand Union was excellent for such an event. Really handily close to the station - so no effort was required when finding it. The staff were helpful when booking and were more than happy to accommodate for the hour delay we put on the booking - I didn't even wanna go to my own 23 that I put it off an hour! And the drinks were good, when you ordered a double that's what you got, do sneaky under pouring fancy bottle flicking tricks, though if I recall they did do those too ... but you have to request them and they only did them on special occasions like 24th birthday parties. The music was ambient and the dance floor sizeable enough. We were downstairs and it really gave it an exclusive vibe, like we'd snuck our way in to a VIP area were all the 25 year olds are toasting to their good health and birthing milestone! So the long and the short of it is, the only thing wrong with this bar when I went was that I was in it. Go there, it's good!
