Shaker and company’s 80s themes bar is definitely a novelty, and although I missed this exciting decade, I was still able to appreciate the references. Food is fantastic...simple but well executed. Cocktails were slightly in the sugary side and they could do with turning a couple of lights on but, it’s a bit of fun not to be missed.

A light airy bar that's got all of the hustle and atmosphere it's decor suggests. There are beer pong tables by the entrance and plenty of diversity at the tables with students from UCL milling around outside and hardened upper management in suits by the bar.

Selection of drinks was good (although there was no Guinness!) and the prices match the area average. The outside space sort of spills onto the neighbouring streets but the staff's good spirits seem to be infectious. I didn't try the food but the menu looked comprehensive if safe and I couldn't find anything that would stop me from coming back.

Nothing overtly special but, in London, sometimes that says enough!

This place is known for its wings and they didn't disappoint - though be warned 1kg of wings is a lot of wings!  This is a cool bar near Euston and the fact that it has an actual beer pong table at the entrance tells you all you need to know!  However, it's also a great place for a few quiet drinks after work.

I haven't spend that much time upstairs but I spent the evening in their basement bar Nineteen eighty Something.

The atmosphere is more private and with no surprise, everything turns around the 80's theme.

We could be in a house basement transformed in a man cave for a teenager in the 80's or in a collector room dedicated to the best years of his life.

I don't think I'll go to this area especially for it though but this is a nice place to check out, plus music is really good!

Cool little bar with an 80s themed basement downstairs (think super cool retro rubix cube tables, cheesy music and 80s film posters). I felt the space was a little small and dark though. I tried some of the cocktails and they were a bit hit and miss - but the food looked really delicious! Staff are very friendly.

This cosy cocktail bar is a rock and roll gem in the middle of a forgotten area near Euston, a kind of place not so easy to find in London any more.

Great music, good cocktails and super funny bartenders will make your night!

I'll go back soon for sure!

Shaker & Co would've made the perfect uni hangout for me when I was studying in Bloomsbury. It's tucked between Euston and Blooomsbury and close to Fitzrovia with the vibe of a den for the kids that don't want to grow up.

The 80-s themed basement is decorated with 80s paraphernalia - complete with walls decorated with lots of video games characters and references. The music they play make me want to start dancing - even on a schoolnight!

Cocktails are nice and the chicken wings were da bomb! But the rest of the food were pretty meh.

This is a great place to go with a group of friends to enjoy the 80-s music, drink cocktails and eat lots of chicken wings...

I went to shaker and company twice; once upstairs in the main bar and a second time downstairs in the 80's themed bar.

I loved the quirky theme upstairs. The staff were super friendly. The cocktails had great names and came in quirky glasses. As a vegetarian, I was disappointed in the loaded fries options. I also tried the mac and cheese grilled cheese which tasted nice but was dry. Overall, I wasn't a huge fan of the food but I loved the atmosphere and drinks.

The 80's themed bar downstairs would be an amazing place to have a party! It had a wall projected for movies and two units to play games on. Canapés were provided and there was a second bar downstairs to personally serve the party.

In either bar, I would definitely go there for drinks with a group from work or friends!

While slightly off the beaten track this is a nice bar with a quirky feel. While I was there they had beer pong all set up and ready to go by the door, which was fun. The cocktails and bar food on offer complements the theme and the buffalo wings are a done the right way, and the burgers looked equally as good. Fries with an assortment or tasty toppings are also on offer to complete the American Diner experience. There's a great new 80’s theme basement bar downstairs too which is also well worth a look.

I loved this bar because it is not a pub but more like a college bar in the States. Personally I would go back, however there were some problems. I would have happily give five stars but they lost one for the food.

The drinks were good, they were strong and they came in really cool containers. But when the rest of my group came they got bog standard glasses and were really disappointed.

There was a group of about 10 of us some people waited well over an hour for their food orders. There didn't seem to be any consistency in the orders, one looked better than the next. My loaded fries were amazing but very dry, they just needed to be more goopy. They stand on their wings, but I am not a wing woman so I can't give my opinion. The people I was there with were not fans. The loaded fries with pulled pork had almost nonexistent pork. I was told it's a new menu so I hope they get it sorted out because in my opinion it really let them down.

It is small and homey and the staff was funny and friendly, so they have a good base. Go see what you think.

A Rock 'n' Roll fueled pub serving unique cocktails and American diner fare!

Shaker & Company is a somewhat hidden bar on the stretch of Hampstead Road between Euston and Camden. When you first go in it looks like a stereotypical English pub but then you start slowly noticing the American-themed details of the decor, menu and drinks. So I love American food and this is exactly what is served up by the kitchen franchise called Hot Blooded Kitchen. Their buffalo wings, which are served by the kilo, are amazing, as are the burgers and loaded fries that I've also chomped down on the few occasions I have swung by. To be clear, the saucy and indulgent food is heavy; but then what do you expect from a pub-turned-diner?!

The drinks menu features a whole host of Rock 'n' Roll pun-named cocktails that are all fun and unique, my favourite for sure having to be the 'Pot Noodle Pain Killer', a tropical rum-based concoction that comes served in a, you guessed it, Pot Noodle cup.

Lastly, the staff have always been very attentive and friendly whenever I have been in and always on-hand to answer all and any questions you might have and offer their own recommendations!

All this on top of their daily specials, live music, wing challenge and beer pong competitions makes for a great place for a few cocktails and/or dinner!

Not far from Euston this place would be easy to walk past as the street hasn’t got a lot else going on. The function room is a little odd and is very dark with questionable ‘80s’ décor but if this is the vibe you’re going for then great! The staff didn’t really appear to be loving life the cocktails tasted like the goldfish bowls you ordered on a pal’s holiday in Malia. Not really my kind of place but the vibe was really relaxed and the food that was brought out looked pretty good.

Such a gem, tucked away behind the hustle and bustle that is Euston, I had such a lovely evening to get over the hump that is a Wednesday!

I went in a group of 3, and although a few of the tables were reserved, we were able to get a table near to the bar- although the first table we chose the bench seemed too short to sit on. It is quite a small place, but is definitely part of the charm! The cocktails were out of this world and hard to choose from, they have a huge menu and there is something for everyone on it! I didn't care much for the "White trash Millionaire" but my husband absolutely loved it, definitely a cocktail for a sweet tooth! The rum cocktails were definitely my favourite, but they were all well mixed and tasted delicious.

The deals on food they have are great too- 241 on burgers on a Monday, melts on a Tuesday and on a Wednesday- a kilo of hot wings for £9.50- we were right on that and they were really tasty alongside the loaded fries (£3!)

The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and did everything they could to make our visit a brilliant one! They have an 80s bar opening up downstairs, and I honestly can't wait to go and visit it when it opens! Somewhere I'll definitely be visiting again when I found myself at a loose end in that area of London!

Wow...what a Saturday!!!!

So we decided to spend our Saturday here and boi was that the best move we made! We were greeted by very friendly staff who got us seated and ready for a good time!

Woah! Had some of the most delicious and strong cocktails here!! They were so amazing I had to keep on telling the staff so!

With creative cocktails such as "What Makes A Good Man" and "Grounds For Divorce" you'll be in for a treat!! They really make an effort here..the creativity is very much apparent with each drink.from the look to the name and the taste!

Apart from the great hospitality and splendid cocktails they have the best fries in the WHOLE of London!! My goodness!!!! Its crazy!!! The toppings really marinate themselves onto your taste buds AnD drive you loopy for more! Wow! So so so good! Honestly I can't wait to go back to have more cocktails and more of those badass Fries!

I found this place to be quite average. Went there with my partner recently and the staff were rude, music too loud (and crap!) and cocktails overpriced. Definitely better places for a night out in London

I love this place, the barmen are knowledgeable, the cocktails great and the atmosphere is cosy and 'New Orleans'. If you want a great place to go with a group this is it.....the night we were there they had some live music.....bliss

I am not sold on this venue. The cocktails are not brilliant. The usually taste weak and watered down to me and when I have asked about different whiskeys or other spirits they staff have seemed fairly clueless. They do not seem to adhere to equal opportunities here and seem to believe only men can mix drinks as when they do rarely employ a female she is only allowed to wash glasses and serve food. The venue has been badly designed. The actual bar is huge and imposing and takes up more than half of the venue. The seating is too low down and uncomfortable, other than that the only other seating available are bar stools. The toilets are at the back of the bar and due to the limited space given to customers you have to push past everyone just to get there.

Consistently delivers a flawlessly executed night out, impecable standards and an un-pretentious yet classy atmosphere, time out must have dropped two stars....

Agree with the other comments from people who have been the bar. Really can't understand how the reviewer on this site "only" gave it 3 stars. As someone who prides themselves on getting out and about around the London bar scene, for me this has 5 stars written all over it. Went in the weekend just gone for the first time and will certainly be going back very soon. Had a great evening with colleagues which was helped in no small part by the vast array of magnificently made cocktails on offer. Started off on the classical type cocktails, and these were made with such refinement and professionalism that they put many up market venues to shame. Moved on to some of the more unusual cocktails on the menu and these were quite simply awesome. The signature s&co was fantastic. The bar staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable and watching them prepare the drinks was almost like watching an artist create a masterpiece! The bar itself is an ideal mix of sophistication and relaxation. Would certainly strongly recommend this to anyone wanting to sample a true and exciting cocktail bar, anyone wanting to try a refreshing new venue or simply anyone wanting a good night out. Go. Trust me you will enjoy !

Yet again Time Out miss the mark with their review. 3 stars? Did they even visit the place or review it blindly? I always go by user reviews nowadays on Time Out, because their staff reviewers seem increasingly out of touch.

This bar is amazing... great staff and really cool ambiance... 3stars??? who rates this??? lovely place...

This place is down the road from me and I plan on becoming a regular; cocktails are fantastic, staff are helpful and professional, bathrooms are clean and the space is great. Haven't tried the food but I'll be honest, it doesn't look great (deep-fried everything). Neverthless, I've recommended it to many of my close friends and will continue to visit. Well done guys!

I believe you should go and vist shaker & company yourself. I believe 3 stars is a poor review myself. It's a great venue I've never visited a place where they send so much time and effort on menu development and customer service. Brilliant venue 5 stars

Shaker is simply the best bar to open in London for years. The combination of relaxed informality and genuine guest service and expertise isfantastic and refreshing. Staff who know how to tend bar professionally, rather than be a "mixologist" are hard to find in this country, and this place has it. If I could give it more stars, I would. Thanks Shaker

I went here on a wednesday night and thought it was great. It was pretty quiet and not too far from the station for me to moan about after a day at work. cocktails were great and staff were friendly. Only problem I had was the lack of food on that night. Was a shame as it would be 5 stars otherwise. hopefully next time i go and can sample the food :)

Other reviews are for Positively Fourth St... Great little bar with great cocktails and service. The names might be slightly different but that's probably because the drinks are slightly different too! If you want some love and care put into your drinks then this is a spot for you.

Have been here a few times... most recently on their Thursday Blues Night. The cocktails are fantastic, and if you don't see something you like (unlikely) the bartenders will make you something even more fantastic. Yes its small but that just adds to the mood created by the cosy decor. If you had to twist my arm into a not-so-positive I'd say the bar food is average. Though, not average enough to keep me away from Shaker! -p
