Great selection of craft beers - a few regulars and others rotating frequently. The kitchen is handed over each month to a street food restaurant, ensuring a completely different menu each time. One month, the theme could be steaks, the next month tapas or Indian. February 2015's Indian month was some of the best pub food we have ever tasted.

The Sacred Gin bar is a new arrival, serving cocktails made from a Highgate's own Sacred Spirits Gin.

Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the atmosphere is terrific. Worth travelling for.

Great selection of beers, seemingly all British and independent. Always a Beavertown or a Kernel on keg and great rotation on their ten cask pumps, the Moor was great. They look after their beers and the staff know what they're on about. Brisket kitchen (no food truck, Timeout) is a great fit. Perfect winter pub and well worth the walk up that hill. One to watch and we'll be back.

Craft beers, comfy environs, good music, unusual range of crisps, local characters.

Our firm favourite for our Friday night after work Pint. Fantastic service, always a different beer on tap and great food with the added bonus of a different pop up each month to keep you guessing!

Friendly staff, great beer, and a rotating kitchen full of street food wonders which makes it always interesting! The Duke's Head has amazing events as well. It's a wonderful pub and one of my favourites, if not *the* favourite, in the area!

Amazing beers . . . amazing food . . . . amazing atmosphere . . . amazing staff . . . . amazing people! Nuff said . . . best pub in the world!

Excellent selection of beers that change regularly, great atmosphere and monthly pop up restaurants that keep you going back to try new cuisines and small plates. Well priced and generally a comfortable chilled out place to spend a few hours working your way through the blackboard of beers. Also show the main sporting events on a screen 🍺👌

Amazing selection of beers on offer. Always something new and exciting to try. The pop up kitchen changes every month so you never get bored of eating and drinking here!

Nothing fancy just nice surroundings, nice staff and great monthly food pop-ups.

Best pub in Highgate! Lovely staff, unpretentious surroundings but most importantly the best beer selection in London.

Best beer selection in London, the food menu changes monthly and I can buy a packet of Monster Munch.

Great pub. Always got interesting beers and food. Something for everyone.

The Duke’s Head in Highgate is the epitome of what any beer drinker yearns for in a local pub. It doesn’t take long after walking through threshold before you find yourself scanning across the room in intense envy, acutely aware that for some of these drinkers, this *is* their local. How lucky they are! This is because this cozy convivial boozer is proudly owned and run by a team of enthusiastic individuals; management are onsite and know their clientele by name and servers are polite, welcoming and amply trained in their drinks selection. They offer an unbeatable range of beer- this is a pub with the craft beer drinker at its heart- both rotating on keg and across ten cask lines (2 of which are designated to British cider).

They celebrate British independent breweries, so you’ll find The Five Points, Hammerton and Brixton regularly featured in addition to appearances from Magic Rock, Moor and Siren to name but a few. The fridges are replete with a solid can selection as well, so drinkers are spoiled for choice. After the satisfaction of finding a satisfyingly delicious beer, sit by the ample front windows and watch the activity of Highgate Village unfold.

When you get peckish, Duke’s has that covered as well- they have a monthly pop-up kitchen residency that will please your tummy. When I visited, I devoured a burger bursting with halloumi with an oozing slather of guacamole from Backyard Kitchen. We also shared a portion of ‘ridiculous fries’ that lived up to their moniker-pimped up with gravy, sour cream, gooey cheese and a plethora of other devilishly delicious toppings. We immediately were enamoured with Duke’s and lament the lack of such a finely run and maintained pub in Stratford. Until then, it’s worth the trek across London to revisit.

I went there last night for a low key dinner, with my lovely man, and I had a lovely time. This pub is really cool without being pretentious. A brilliant range of craft beers, own brand gin & gin cocktails, and good wines to boot. The pub also hosts a different restaurant each month and has a 'street food theme' with serving all foods in plastic baskets- why not?!

This month is seeing Steak Haus as it's December residents. The steak was really good, served already slices with a sauce cup of garlic butter on the side. Really nicely cooked,I could have had two! The chips were really yummy and the courgette fries were really moreish. My other half was befuddled by the offering of plastic knives and forks and lack of plates....I thought is wasn't a problem but he wanted to cut up his big piece of steak and who am I to object?! So ....maybe some proper cutlery when it comes to steak......

Apart from that,my Gin and Proseco cocktail was really nice and the food is really good- I will make a trip back before Steak Haus leave,a memorable steak and worth recommending.

Great beers on tap, fabulous food and brilliant atmosphere. Not to be missed!!

This pub us one of my favourites! I commute from southwest London just to enjoy the atmosphere, the beer and the amazing staff make it all worthwhile

Amazing Pub so different and friendly but still doesn't lose out to any normal pubby things.

I never used to drink beer, but I drink it all the time now! Great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly.

There's nothing quite like it in South London, so we have to go to North London

Fantastic range of beers always kept in great condition. A relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff make this a wonderful pub to spend a few hours in.

Checking in for a quick pint you realise it's better here than back home. Gin, beer and meat, what more do you need?
