This family-run pub offers Cask Marque real ales and a simple menu of standard pub-grub dishes. Though closed at weekends, it is available for private hire. The decor is nothing extravagant, but makes for a relaxed setting if you’re looking for somewhere to watch Sky Sports – they show most of the big games.
The menu isn’t fussy – main meals include home made Aberdeen steak pie served with new potatoes, beer-battered fish with home made tartar sauce, or there's Cumberland sausage and mash with caramelised onion gravy.
