Let's face it, there's a lot of crap news in London (we've got the worst landlords in Britain, for a start) so it's nice to hear some good news for a change. A crowdfunding campaign set up to raise funds for a 100-year-old woman who was mugged in Tottenham last month has totally smashed its target. Alexteen Roberts was pushed to the ground outside her home and the unidentified mugger stole her handbag with £300 in it.

The crowdfunding campaign has raised nearly £1,000, and the organisers have also arranged a tea party to help restore Mrs Roberts' faith in the community.

From 4pm until 6pm on October 9, they'll be throwing a tea party at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre café, where they'll be presenting Mrs Roberts with a cheque to replace her savings. Locals are encouraged to bring cake, biscuits and scones and pop in for a cuppa.
