Our mates at LondOntheInside have rounded up five things they’re pretty damn excited about this month.

Peace, O2 Brixton Academy, Oct 9

Helping to keep guitar music on the map are one of the most exciting live bands out their today, Peace. These young'uns have a knack for writing anthemic pop songs and will be joined by not one but two other amazing bands, Splashh and Yak, making this a show not to miss.

YBF's menu, The Rex Whistler, October 10 and 16

The Young British Food Awards took place last month and what a line-up! There's some absolute gems on there which is why we're jumping at the chance of trying all their goodies during one dinner as they take over The Rex Whistler's menu for two nights only. Show us the goodies...

World Peace Burger, Old Queens Head, October 1–7

Bleecker St Burger and Lucky Chip are picking up where Maccy D's and Burger King left off having colabbed to created what they call the World Peace Burger. The burger is made up of bits from each party and the result is a double bacon cheeseburger to die for. Trust us – you don't wanna miss this.

London Cocktail Week, Various locations, October 5–11

One of our favourite weeks of the year, London Cocktail Week is the perfect excuse to fill up on cocktails with banging creations available at some of the best bars in London for just a fiver – just get your excuses ready for those sick days.

Bird, Islington, October 1–7

The makers of THAT donut bacon sarnie and all kinds of fried chicken combos have announced they're opening in Islington and what's more there's 50 percent off for the first week. Need we say more?
