Bad news: there's a 48-hour tube strike this weekend

We know you're tired of hearing about tube strikes that may or may not happen – trust us, we are too. But sadly we're back with more bad news (or possibly good news, if you're looking for an excuse to stay in this weekend).

The RMT union is planning a 48-hour tube strike this weekend starting at 9pm on February 6, because of a dispute over job cuts and ticket office closures. But all is not lost – the RMT is the only union that has announced strike action (so far), which means it's unlikely to be a total shutdown. On the other hand, if you fancy staying in all weekend and finally finishing off 'Making a Murderer', we reckon you've got a valid excuse.

Someone's taken London's worst tube adverts and made them way better.

And have you seen TfL's new and improved tube and rail map?
