After the tragic Grenfell Tower fire, which took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Battersea Arts Centre has announced it is hosting a fundraiser to raise money for those affected.

The event, which will take place on Monday June 19, is being organised by Battersea Arts Centre and comedian Mark Thomas, who will be performing alongside Jeremy Hardy, Josie Long, Heydon Prowse and Imran Yusuf. Tickets are £25 and all proceeds will go to the Grenfell Tower Appeal, coordinated by the Kensington & Chelsea Foundation.

The Met Police have confirmed 17 fatalities but sadly expect this number to rise. Commander Stuart Cundy, from the Metropolitan Police Service, said in a statement today: ‘From my colleagues in the health service, there are still a number of people who are receiving treatment in hospital. There are 37 people receiving treatment, of which 17 are still in critical care.’
