Get stuck in to five tons of clay this weekend in King's Cross (an area built on clay, dontcha know), where the Clayground Collective is inviting big and little kids to help sculpt a gigantic tribute to our ever-changing city. Between noon and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, ceramic experts and architects will be stationed outside the Central Saint Martins building to advise members of the public wishing to get creative. There will also be pottery demonstrations, clay exhibits, and The Melodians – a 30-piece steel orchestra – will perform pieces written by experimental folksters Nathaniel Mann and Daniel Merrill from Dead Rat Orchestra.

These events are the penultimate in the Clayground Collective's three-year series, Clay Cargo, which ends with an exhibition at the Spode Factory in Stoke-On-Trent to coincide with the British Ceramics Biennial.

For more information see our listing for Clay Cargo.
