Caravan has long been a torchbearer for London’s accessible, dynamic food scene. Since they started dishing up global small plates in their Exmouth Market restaurant back in 2010, the three Kiwis behind Caravan have acquired a couple of lofty industrial spaces in King's Cross and Bankside. This quick march to city-wide dominance is continuing with the announcement of a new north London hub (no concrete details on the location yet) – due to open in spring 2017 and focusing on the group's original remit as a coffee roastery.

The snappily named Caravan Coffee Roasters will house an all-day brew bar and café, a retail shop for your bean needs, rooftop garden (complete with wormery!) and a programme of talks and workshops. Caffeine junkies, the daily grind is looking up – watch this space for further details.
