Chippin' heck! London's getting a new restaurant that only serves chips

Has London reached peak novelty café? Yes. But who the hell cares when the latest one to join the ranks is Come Fry With Me, a restaurant dedicated to chips? And triple-cooked ones at that. Celebrating the humble potato in all its forms, the menu allows you to choose from skinny, gastro or skin-on chips with flavour combos including truffle and parmesan, Marmite, bacon and even Guinness-battered chips, because everything tastes better in batter. You can also top your chips with feta, steak and stilton or chilli con carne, or whack them in a butty for some carb-on-carb goodness.

If you're after a sugar hit, they've got dessert covered in the form of cinnamon sweet potato chips served with peanut butter dip. And if potatoes aren't your thing, they've also got parsnip, carrot and courgette fries. Oh, and the interior will be airline-themed, with chips served up on a 'fry carousel’ conveyor belt, presumably purely to justify the punny name.

It doesn't officially open until October in an as-yet-undisclosed Covent Garden location, but if you're already drooling at the thought of hitting the chip motherload, they'll be popping up at Box Park on July 22 and at the Clapham Foodies festival on July 24-26.

Come Fry With Me opens in October. Check out the menu here and follow them on Twitter at @comefryuk.
