Covent Garden tube station has fully re-opened

As anyone who's ever tackled the 193 steps at Covent Garden tube station will tell you, taking the lift is pretty much non-negotiable if you want to arrive above ground without being a wheezing, sweaty a mess. But TfL has been slowly replacing the station's four lifts since February 2014 - and the station has been exit-only for the last ten months while they finish off the work. But now it's all done and dusted and the old lifts have been replaced with shiny new ones, which TfL promise are bigger and quicker - so you never have to even consider taking those dreaded stairs again. Phew!
