Have you noticed that Old Street station's been smelling curiously delicious for the last week? That's due to the fact that the roundabout has turned into a bar and street-food hub. It's been renamed the Magic Roundabout, there's a bar up there packed with Beavertown craft beers, DJs, plus street-food stalls including an offering from the makers of one of the city's best burgers, Burger Bear. There's also the awesomely named seafood stall Prawnography, from Jim Tomlinson, a Michelin-trained chef who also previously ran Fry Hard, the deep-fat-fried pop-up that opened last Easter. It's open all day from 7am to 11pm – for lunch and dinner – and right now, it's such a well-kept secret that it's a blissfully quiet spot for a post-work drink. We'd get in there quick, though. We're guessing that's going to change pretty soon.Share the story
