London is bursting with pop-up cinemas. Where there’s a rooftop, a cobbled square or a patch of grass, there’s a screen.

Most of the time, they only cater to the human residents of our city. While we hunker down in deckchairs and stuff our faces with posh popcorn, our dogs are left at home, missing out on the blockbusters.

That means ten percent of Londoners (yes, a tenth of us have dogs) have to leave their best friends at home when they head to the cinema.

But no longer. The Nomad Cinema has announced plans for a pooch-friendly pop-up: a special canine cinema screening on Saturday September 3 in Queen’s Park, where, fittingly, they’ll be showing ‘Best in Show’, a mockumentary set in the world of competitive dog shows.

Tickets are on sale now, and include free entry for your faithful hound.

The screening is in aid of The Mayhew Animal Home, who will also be in attendance offering free microchipping.

Here's our guide to London’s best outdoor screenings.
