Odlo Summer Run Club

If you’re in search of some fitness buddies this summer, burn some calories en masse at this new free running club in Covent Garden. The mixed ability sessions will run for the next 12 weeks and will be led by top coaches who’ll take you on a whirlwind tour of the capital.

Date: Every Wednesday from June 1.

Xtend Barre

Xtend Barre

Just when you thought this town has seen its fair share of ballet-inspired workouts, here comes a new contender from the US determined to raise the bar(re). Opening this month in Marylebone, Xtend Barre is a new studio where sculpting is the aim of the game. Take part in a lively combo of pilates, dance and ballet and get that holiday bod back on track.

Cost: £25 a class (or two weeks unlimited for £49).

LIBRARY’s Wellness studio

The Library Members Club has come up with a novel idea: a wellness hub offering a bunch of cardio, strength-based and mindfulness classes if you fancy a quick workout in the West End. Sessions are open to both members and non-members – and don’t worry, you won’t need to keep the noise down.

Cost: £20 non-member day pass or £10 for members.

HIIT at Another Space

HIIT at Another Space

This flashy boutique gym opened last month with Yoga and Spin, and now a third class is on the way to get us mega sweaty and fit. HIIT (high-intensity interval training) involves strength exercises and boxing bags, so be prepared to throw plenty of punches for a knockout session.

Cost: £20 intro offer (two credits + one buddy).

Date: Week commencing June 20.

Yoga in the park

Yoga in the Park at The Magazine Restaurant, Serpentine Sackler Gallery

This series of Sunday yoga sessions might be painfully early for a Sunday morning, but it's a total win-win. Not only will you get a chance to perfect that Downward Dog in pretty surroundings, but you’ll get a stellar vegan brekkie whipped up by The Magazine Restaurant's super head chef Emmanuel Eger.

Date: June 26, July 24 and August 14.

Time: 7.45am for 8am start.
