There are plenty of factors to think about when you're deciding where to live in London – the ratio of coffee shops to people, the number of non-shit pubs and how late the nearest kebab shop stays open. Although ultimately, the cost of rent will probably end up making your decision for you.

But if money was no object, where should we all pack up and move to? Fitzrovia, apparently. The Sunday Times has released a guide to the best places to live in London, and Fitzrovia has topped the list. According to the newspaper, the area has 'acquired a bit of style', having previously had a 'slightly sleepy, studenty and even scruffy air'. It's like a Cinderella story.

The Times compiled local knowledge with data on crime rates, house prices and school performance to produce the top ten. Barnes came in second place, followed by Bermondsey, which has apparently undergone a 'Shoreditch-style transformation from Millwall-supporting mean streets to urban hipster paradise'. Yep, Bermondsey's streets are mean no more.
