Get your fill of art this weekend with four cracking exhibitions.
If you like paint and nudity 🎨 🍆
Clapham space Studio Voltaire is currently showing the first historical survey of the little-known 1980s feminist movement The Neo Naturists. Expect a unique mix of pagan symbolism, messy body-art and quaint Britishness. Oh, and lots of dangly bits.
If you like video art. LOTS of video art 🎬
For its group show Performer/Audience/Mirror, the Lisson has brought together a line-up of 18 heavyweight video artists and woven through an immersive and labyrinthine space. We’d recommend a strong coffee before heading in – there’s a lot to watch – but you’ll be amused, entertained and mesmerised in equal measure.
If you like spotted pumpkins 🎃
Heads up: this Saturday is your very last chance to see the show that has spread like psychedelic measles across Instagram this summer. The wonderfully dotty Yayoi Kusama has filled both Victoria Miro spaces with her iconic paintings, sculptures and mirrored ‘infinity’ rooms. Be prepared to queue for your selfie moment.
If you like intense photography 📷
Also in its final weekend, this show by the German-born, Turner Prize-winning, outspoken Europeanist Wolfgang Tillmans is full of stark, varied and arresting images. And post-Brexit, the pro-Remain posters that flypaper the entrance have taken on a melancholy quality.
