Yeah, we know it's a long-arse month and everyone's pockets are distinctly jangle free as change is scraped together for essentials like coffee and alcohol, but there are exciting shopping happenings on the horizon that are worth smashing your piggy bank for.

House of Holland sample sale

Printmaster extraordinaire Henry Holland is having a sample sale, and you're invited. With discounts of up to 80 percent off past-season collections, it's a good day if you're into riotous colours and bonkers prints. But it's not just Mr H who is peddling his wares – alongside him will be pieces from eponymous British brand Richard Nicholl and pretty, sporty separates from lovely London label Mother of Pearl.

18–20 London Lane, London Fields, E8 3PR. Fri Apr 22, 10am–8pm, Sat Apr 23, 10am–6pm.

Everything Must Go Pop-up

In ethical fashion news that doesn't involve hemp, creative design initiative Everything Must Go is opening its first progressive concept store right in the middle of Soho. Stocking brands that are both luxury and sustainable, highlights are superb swimwear from Auria – who make their cozzies from recycled fishing nets – and the ever-wonderful colour queen Kitty Joseph.

35 Beak Street, W1. Sat Apr 23–Sun May 1. 10am–7pm daily, 11am–6pm Sunday.

Collaborative Store

Back for a second time, The Collaborative Store returns with a brilliant edit of under-the-radar brands and dinky labels. With prices ranging from £5 to £350 and a sleek selection of womenswear, accessories and plenty of swanky home things, there should be something for you no matter how empty your purse feels.

11 Calvert Avenue, E2 7JP. Open until Wed May 25, 11am–7pm Mon–Sat and noon–6pm Sun.

Fenwick Pop-up

Exciting news from Fenwick, whose Bond Street windows have been taken over by Indonesian fashion designers. Collaborating with the British Council and LCF, until May 3 the department store will house the work of five emerging fashion star, marking the first time that a collective of Indonesian fashion brands have been under one roof on the UK high street. The pop-up is open until May 18, but you can only do window shopping until May 3, so hop to it.

63 Bond St, W1S 1RQ.
