Don’t stay in – go out and stay out all night. Here’s your essential party schedule for this week.

Krankbrother Street Party

The legendary Krankbrother Street Party returns to Shoreditch complete with a crack team of DJs, street-food traders and cocktail bars. Forget any assumptions of polite conversation, trestle tables and tea urns, this is a house party turned out onto the street with Derrick Carter, Horse Meat Disco, Mike Servito & Krankbrother keeping everyone bouncing from one end of the (closed-off) street to the other. There’s also an afterparty at nearby venue Village Underground for night owls, £30 combo tickets guarantees entry to both. Christopher Street, EC2A. Sat Jun 18.

Future Bounce

BBC 1Xtra DJ Jamz Supernova helms this new talent night for forward-thinking R&B, bass and hip hop. This time around they’ve got the debut UK show by trumpet-toting Brooklyn duo Brasstracks, who’ve done sterling work recently with Chance The Rapper, and a set by south London up-and-comer Raye, pumping out emotional, electro-edged R&B bangers in the Birthdays basement. Birthdays. Sat Jun 18.

Love Carnival

Why yes, we do love Carnival, thanks for asking. If you’re looking for somewhere to practise your bogle ready for August to roll around, this night in Peckham is just the ticket. Resident DJs drop tropical-tinged bass and beats – anything from Afrohouse to Caribbean sounds to grime – alongside ‘immersive interactive fun, colourful characters and vibrant decor’. Just like Notting Hill, really. CLF Art Cafe (The Bussey Building). Fri Jun 17.

Odyssia Festival Launch Party

French disco/house DJ François K is an actual DJ legend, having played at Studio 54 and Paradise Garage back in the day. If you’re after a taste of those hallowed NYC clubs then get yourself to Ministry on Saturday for a six-hour set by Mr K himself to launch a new festival in Greece. Support includes Kyle Hall and Anna K (no relation). Ministry of Sound. Sat Jun 18.
