If you fancy a break from all that chocolate this weekend, head over to Borough Market, where new Italian restaurant Padella will be opening its doors for the first time. To celebrate the launch, they're offering 50 percent off all food from tomorrow (March 24) until this Sunday. It's being launched by the same team behind Italian restaurant Trullo in Highbury, and they'll be serving up all kinds of carby goodness including Trullo’s signature pappardelle with eight-hour beef shin ragu, squid ink tagliarini with mussels, chilli and oregano, and ravioli of pumpkin and marjoram with sage butter. And if you're not totally stuffed after piles of their handmade fresh pasta, they've also got a selection of sweet treats, including salted caramel ice cream, tiramisu and pear and almond tart.

Padella is at 6 Southwark Street, SE1 1TQ.
