It has often been voted the most romantic movie ever made, and this summer Time Out is offering Londoners the chance to watch the swooning wartime romance ‘Casablanca’, which stars Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman as former lovers who reunite in Morocco, on the top deck of a boat while sailing down the Thames.

Is there a more romantic London night out for movie lovers?

This one-off pop-up screening of ‘Casablanca’ will take place on the night of Saturday July 15 and is part of Time Out’s Movies on the River with City Cruises, a series of open-air movie screenings taking place on the top deck of a river boat during June and July.

The series begins on Thursday June 15 with ‘Jaws’ (sorry, that one’s sold out, but we’re showing it again on Saturday July 1) and continues with films including ‘Top Gun’ (Wednesday June 28), ‘Ghostbusters’ (Tuesday July 4), ‘La La Land’ (Wednesday July 12) and many more.

We reckon that watching ‘Casablanca’ on Time Out’s movie boat is the ultimate summer date night. Picture the scene: sipping drinks before sunset and then settling down after dark (blankets and cushions provided!) to watch one of the most romantic movies of all time while the city slowly floats by.

As Humphrey Bogart says in the film, here's looking at you, kid.
