Back in June last year, we gave you a sneak peak into an incredible hotel opening in the old Midland Bank building called The Ned, while it was under construction. This week The Ned swung open its doors and it looks pretty darn swanky.

A joint venture between the crew behind Soho House and US hotel magnates the Sydell Group, The Ned is part hotel, part members’ club. The space is huge – more than 320,000 square feet, to be exact – and there are a whopping eight restaurants, which are open to the public.

However, you need to be a member if you want to get into the rooftop pool, spa and gym, as well as the basement members’ club, which is in the old bank vaults – and looks totally amazing:

If you get so comfy that you don’t want to leave, there are 252 hotel rooms ranging from swanky suits to the ‘crash pad’, made for with ‘impromptu plans in mind’, apparently.
