In pictures: the most outrageous costumes from World Zombie Day

Last Saturday (Oct 10) saw the return of World Zombie Day to the streets of London. Hundreds of participants shuffled ominously across the West End, showing off their facial prostheses, terrifying passers-by and raising money for homelessness charity St. Mungo's to boot. Members of our Flickr community were on the scene to capture all the ghastly action – check out their shots below!
