It's the FINAL COUNTDOWN! You have one more week of work – or maybe you're already off, damn you – and then it's The Big Day and soon we'll be in 2017 (PHEW!). Yes, London slows down around Christmas time but it sure as hell doesn't stop. This week's issue of Time Out Magazine spans the whole of the festive period and we've tracked down everything you need to have a great few weeks.

We've rounded up London's best Christmas food, demystified the Smithfield Christmas Eve Meat Auction, got a guide to doing to beating the Boxing Day sales and picked out the best events in town, which will give you the perfect excuse to get off the sofa and away from your family. We've also chatted to Martin Scorsese and Michael Fassbender, created a cheese map of London, collected the best snowy paintings of London, rounded up the best theatre of 2016 and listed the coolest NYE and NYD parties in town.

There's loads more in there, but you'll just have to pick up a copy on Tuesday to find out what. Also, the next issue isn't until January 10 2017 so make sure you get your mitts on this issue to avoid serious withdrawal symptoms.
