We might all be obsessing over our Uber rating at the moment, but there was a time when getting a taxi in London required more than a few clicks of a button. This infographic by The Taxi Centre shows the history of London's taxis, starting way back when with the ancient Romans, up until the present day. And if you thought getting a free packet of sweets in the back of an Uber Lux was fancy, imagine being carried around the streets of 18th century London on a 'sedan chair', which was essentially a glorified throne. How d'ya like that, Uber?
