[title]
Hedgehogs appearing in your garden – a brilliant reason to stay up post-nightfall, but still not quite as awesome as the Lovebox After Dark programme. Taking place at some of the best venues around east London this very weekend, these parties allow night-owls to keep dancing when curfew is called on both days of Lovebox festival, in Victoria Park, at 10.45pm. Here are your options.
Friday July 17
The SubSoul crew take control of basement club The Laundry, bringing in US remix king Marc ‘MK’ Kinchen and Kry Wolf to spin slick house. Similarly infectious house and techno can be found at Oval Space, via UK faves Groove Armada, plus Detroit funk from Jimmy Edgar and garage from xxxy. There’s bassier business at Village Underground, including the original D&B nuttah Shy FX and gritty garage-grime hybrids from Preditah.
Saturday July 18
Hackney Wick warehouse Shapes boasts a killer line-up, featuring superbly eclectic spinner Oneman and dark dancefloor overlord Special Request, plus fearsome cuts from genre-mangler T.Williams. Globe-hopping DJ Heidi and party crew Krankbrother relay sharp 4/4 business at The Laundry, or you can devote yourself to disco at Village Underground, where Boston boys Soul Clap, London’s Horse Meat Disco and boogie crew PBR Streetgang hold funky court. There’s also a big show at Oval Space, headlined by popular downtempo beats dude Bonobo – advance tickets are sold out for that one, but there are 200 available on the door for quick-steppers.
Full line-ups and details can be found on our Lovebox After Dark page.
